The Iranian-European Students Conference brings the global Iranian academic community together for a single day in Frankfurt — connecting students, researchers, civic partners, and journalists around one question: what the democratic future of Iran will require, and how this generation builds the infrastructure for it.
The day runs across distinct content layers — full-hall plenary moments, moderated panels in two parallel blocks, and an exhibition and performance layer that runs throughout. It is a gathering of researchers as much as activists: students today, leaders tomorrow.

Four panels — from geopolitics and women's rights to Europe's security and the Iranian student movement — each session brings together experts, activists, and young professionals to move beyond rhetoric toward real answers, with audience Q&A. Sessions are held in English, German, and Persian.
PANEL 01English
What happens in Tehran won't stay in Tehran — the global stakes of engaging the Islamic Republic.
PANEL 02English
They fear the women of Iran — and the movement they lead.
PANEL 03German
Iran's missiles reach Berlin — so why does Europe still cling to old narratives?
PANEL 04All languages
An open-floor Q&A on Iran and the Iranian student movement — all languages welcome.
A single day across a morning plenary, parallel afternoon panels, a Persian-language block, and a closing.
Accreditation and welcome tea. The poster hall and memorial wall open and stay live all day.
An opening teaser, a moment of silence, and the anthems of Iran and Germany — followed by ISAD's opening and introduction, words from its international branches, Voices of Iran, and the morning's keynote speakers.
A press conference runs alongside the lunch break. The poster hall stays open throughout.
Two parallel rounds of moderated panels with audience Q&A — geopolitics and women's rights, then Europe's security and an open-mic session — with breaks in between.
A Persian-language block: opening, ISAD's statement and structure, student-branch introductions, a musical performance, and a closing keynote address.
Final words to bring the day together — and the road ahead.
The layer that runs throughout the day, between and around the sessions.
The poster hall is the intellectual engine room of the day — and submissions are open to the global Iranian student research community.
We invite students, early-career researchers, and ISAD branches to submit a research poster for the conference poster hall. Accepted abstracts are reviewed by the ISAD Academic Committee, and accepted posters are printed by ISAD and displayed throughout the day — with presenting authors standing by their work during the poster-viewing sessions.
Authors are invited to submit an abstract and poster addressing one of the following overarching themes.
Submission & Deadline
Submit your abstract by email. Your package must include an abstract (following the abstract guidelines below) and a poster prepared with the official poster template.
Late submissions may not be considered for the review process.
The poster is a visual communication tool — balance scientific clarity with strong visual presentation. Keep the six-section structure, stay within the A0 layout, and remove all placeholder text before submitting.
Please keep the official ISAD conference colours and a consistent visual identity across your poster.
Registration is open. Secure your place at the Iranian-European Students Conference 2026.
