About UsWho We Are
ISAD is a globally networked civil society organisation founded in 2026 by Iranian students across Europe, Canada, USA & Asia — united by a shared conviction that a free, democratic, and secular Iran is not only possible but necessary.
We are not a political party. We are an academically anchored advocacy network with one mission: to build the international infrastructure that Iran's democratic transition will require — so that when the moment arrives, it is not wasted.
"A call to action, rooted in realism and hope — charting the path for an Iran that is in the interest of both its people and the world."
— HRH Reza Pahlavi
Our Three-Phase Engagement Strategy
Build · Activate · Endure
BUILD · Before Transition
Establish ISAD as a credible voice in Western policy circles. Brief parliamentarians, build research capacity, university chapters, and the constituent base advocacy requires.
ACTIVATE · During Transition
Mobilise the global network simultaneously across every capital. Facilitate dialogue for international recognition, sanctions relief, and emergency assistance for transition institutions.
ENDURE · After Transition
Accept Iran's democratic referendum without condition. Become Iran's permanent global advocacy institution — monitoring democracy, supporting reintegration for decades.
Core Principles
Four founding clauses · Our political position · What we stand for
I. Democratic Governance
We stand for democratic governance and the rule of law — a state accountable to its citizens through free institutions, independent courts, and the peaceful transfer of power.
II. Territorial Integrity
Iran's territorial integrity and sovereignty are non-negotiable. We advocate for a unified, secure Iran — free from foreign interference and internal fragmentation.
III. A Secular State
We call for the separation of religion and government — a secular state in which faith is a private matter and public institutions serve all citizens equally, regardless of belief.
IV. Individual Rights & Freedom
Individual rights, equality, and economic freedom are the foundation of a just society. Every Iranian deserves equal standing before the law and the freedom to build their own future.

What We Do
ISAD brings together students and young professionals who are committed to promoting democracy, human rights, and informed dialogue about Iran. We organise campus outreach activities, publish educational materials, host discussions and events, collaborate with student groups and civil society organisations, and engage with academics, policymakers, and the broader public. Our goal is to encourage civic engagement, foster international cooperation, and support a democratic future for Iran.
University Infodesks
We regularly organise information desks at universities across Europe, the United States, and Canada. These events provide opportunities to engage directly with students, discuss developments in Iran, answer questions, and exchange ideas. Building connections and fostering open dialogue are at the heart of our work.
Campus Outreach
We distribute flyers and informational materials on university campuses to raise awareness about the situation in Iran and issues affecting Iranian students.
Student Demonstrations & Solidarity Actions
We organise student demonstrations, rallies, and solidarity events at universities across Europe, the United States, and Canada. Through these actions, we work together to raise awareness of the situation in Iran and amplify the voices of people in Iran calling for freedom, democracy, and human rights.
Conferences & Political Engagement
Our members participate in conferences, panel discussions, parliamentary events, and meetings with policymakers. Through these engagements, we represent the perspectives of Iranian students, contribute to debates on developments in Iran, and promote international dialogue on democracy, human rights, and the rule of law.
What We Have Done
Since its founding, ISAD has organised information desks, awareness campaigns, demonstrations, and public events at universities across Europe, the United States, and Canada. Through these activities, we have engaged directly with students, distributed educational materials, and encouraged discussion on issues related to Iran. Our members have also participated in conferences, panel discussions, and political events, contributing to international conversations on democracy, human rights, and academic freedom. By building connections across borders, we have helped raise awareness, strengthen student networks, and bring together individuals and organisations committed to a democratic future for Iran.
